Services & Process
We help Reno‑Tahoe homeowners plan and execute high‑end remodels—from whole‑house transformations to finely tuned kitchens, baths, and closets. Our job is to guide you from first ideas to a finished home that feels effortless, personal, and beautifully put together.
We’re probably not the right fit if you’re looking for a fast cosmetic refresh, a one‑room paint consult, or DIY advice. Our work focuses on full‑room and whole‑home remodels with a meaningful investment in both design and construction.

How Our Full‑Service Design Process Works
Every project is tailored, but the backbone of our work is the same: a structured, flat‑fee process that takes you from concept to completion.
1. Plan – Discover, imagine, and map the possibilities
- We start by getting to know how you live now: what works, what doesn’t, and what a “win” would look like.
- We document your existing home, then create multiple space plans and 3D models for the rooms in scope.
- Together we workshop the options, refine them, and land on a plan that feels exciting, functional, and true to you.
Typical work here includes: home inspections with your chosen pros, space planning, cabinet layouts, lighting concepts, and early coordination with contractors or architects.
2. Budget – Align investment with priorities
- With a clear plan in hand, we build a detailed budget for your finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
- We look at low‑medium‑high options for key items so you can see where to save and where to splurge.
- You get a line‑by‑line view of what goes into the room before you start purchasing, which gives you real control over how your money is spent.
Typical work here includes: preparing a comprehensive budget document and adjusting the design where needed to align with your target investment.
3. Build – Document, coordinate, and stay by your side
We prepare a complete design package for your contractor. In California, as a Certified Interior Designer, Jackie can develop interior documents for nonstructural, non‑seismic work within existing buildings that your licensed design professionals can submit for permitting; in Nevada, our drawings are used to communicate design intent and guide your architect and contractor as they create permit‑ready plans.
We create a specification set covering cabinetry, surfaces, fixtures, and finishes, plus a color and styling scheme with samples when available. We attend key meetings with your contractor, review bids, and remain available to answer design questions as construction progresses.
You’ll see this in practice as: 3d models, specifications, site visits, and ongoing coordination with your build team. We don’t obtain permits or provide structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering; instead, we work alongside your architect, engineer, and contractor so that they can translate our design into compliant, well‑executed construction documents.
Collaboration with Your Team
Whether you come to us first or through your contractor or architect, we believe the client is best served when all three work together.
- If you start with us, we help you assemble the right team of builders and other specialists.
- If you already have an architect or contractor, we integrate into the team, bringing detailed interior planning and clear documentation to the table.
- Our recommendations intentionally stop short of structural, seismic, mechanical, and electrical engineering; those calls are made by licensed professionals. Our role is to define the experience of the space and express it clearly so your experts can execute safely and correctly.
Contractors are welcome to hire us directly for design work, and we’re happy to coordinate closely with your preferred subs and vendors.
What You Receive
Every full‑service project is a bit different, but you can expect a combination of:
- Multiple, comprehensive 3D views models
- Ergonomic review of layouts so the space is comfortable and intuitive to use.
- A detailed finishes, fixtures, and furnishings budget.
- A cohesive color and materials scheme, plus styling recommendations for art and accessories.
- A structured series of meetings—from pre‑design inspections and on‑site measurements through design workshops, budget reviews, and presentation of the final build set.
And, for many projects, we can provide a buying service that handles sourcing, ordering, tracking, and coordinating deliveries for cabinetry, furniture, window coverings, tile, plumbing, and more, so you don’t have to manage a thousand moving pieces alone.
Buying Service: We Handle the Details
Once your design is finalized, there are still hundreds of decisions and moving parts between “approved plan” and “finished room.” Our Buying Service takes that burden off your shoulders.
Instead of spending evenings chasing quotes, tracking orders, and worrying about missed deliveries, you get one team managing the entire purchasing process on your behalf.
What we handle for you
-
Sourcing & design of products
We source ready‑made pieces and design custom items where needed—cabinets, flooring, furniture, window coverings, wall coverings, plumbing fixtures, tile, bedding, art, and accessories. -
Apples‑to‑apples pricing
We obtain final pricing that includes sales tax, freight, and delivery, so you can compare options clearly and avoid surprise charges later. -
Placing & managing orders
We place and double‑check orders, then track every item from purchase through delivery. -
Delivery coordination
We arrange deliveries, are onsite for large items, and coordinate with your installer so products arrive when the site is ready. (Smaller items are typically shipped directly to your home by UPS or FedEx.) -
Issue resolution
If something arrives damaged or incorrect, we handle damage and warranty claims with vendors and workrooms on your behalf.
There are no additional design or hourly fees for the Buying Service itself—we purchase at wholesale and resell to you using a market-rate markup. You benefit from our trade relationships and streamlined process, and you don’t have to manage a single tracking number if you don’t want to.
If you prefer to do some purchasing yourself, we can also provide a specification package for you or your contractor to follow; you choose the level of support that feels right.
