Scope of Work

Objectives

• Embrace Somersett’s location and lifestyle by designing a mountain-resort style furniture plan for the Great Room and Canyon Room.
• Plan for flexible and comfortable seating groups that make it easy for individual residents, small groups, and large groups to enjoy the two rooms.
• Refurbish or replace dated and worn furnishings.
• Specify new furnishings that are both attractive and durable, as needed – furniture, art, and accessories.

Color

• Take our color cues from the slate floors in the lobby and Great Room. The floor’s tan and charcoal tones reflect the landscape of our high desert home, and they are a natural starting point for a sophisticated color scheme of layered neutrals.

• Accent with contrasting cool tones.

 Finishes

• Work with the existing flooring and stained wood millwork.
• Freshen up the walls and ceilings with a neutral off-white paint.

 Furnishings

• Replace fussy and traditional furnishings and fabrics with simpler shapes and styles.

Design Fees

• The fee to provide the detailed design work outlined in the Objectives, Color, Finishes, and Furnishings sections above is $7,000.
